Post subject:  Vagabond V300 questions about the ground wire & battery

I just bought a used V300

The grounding wire has me nervous. How do I know when I have a good ground, or a bad one?

The original owner told me the unit sat for about a year without being used or charged. I had it charging for 12 hours and the light stayed red. I unplugged the V300 from the Lan Power charger, and the light on the box flashed green until I took the plug out of the wall.

I want to test it on my strobes, but I'm worried about the grounding of the V300 unit. I don't want to blow up my strobes...

Thanks for any help.

There is an internal grounding system in place in the inverters, so no grounding is required for proper operation. The additional grounding cable would be for added safety in the event there is a grounding fault. this can be run to the large grounding bolt and placed under the V300, or the bolt can be driven into the ground.
