I've been searching around various boards trying to find a comparison, so I apologize if this is a repeat topic. I've been thinking about getting a white PLM in addition to my soft silver one.

I was wondering what the difference would be in lighting output between a white PLM (with spill kill) and a soft silver with diffuser.

They seem like they would be very similar; it also seems that I would have more flexibility if I just got another soft silver instead of white, but am uncertain. Does anybody have any experience or examples?

Thanks!

They would be similar in light effect. For most situations, I would use the soft silver without diffuser . . . more output, more spill control, more sparkle, but still quite soft, and easier to use. If you want is softer still, with lower output, put on the diffuser.
