I opened my cybercommander as a drop of water got onto the lcd panel as I was cleaning a smudge off the plastic lens (why doesn't the protective plastic screen have complete sealing to prevent that? Glue around the edges would solve that issue though the buttons would still allow water to get in...)

Looks to me that the hotshoe is a one piece CNC machined foot that can be popped out but i couldn't see how. Will there be a locking shoe in the future or is this being delayed until the competition brings out something comparable?

The screen is not weather sealed, nor is it intedned to be. Adding glue aroung the perimeter of the screen increases the chances of damaging the screen, and reduces the ability to swap the screen should it be damaged, while not really increasing the sealing of the CC, as the buttons, card slot, sync jack, seams, and foot would still not be sealed.

If by locking hotshoe, do you mean one that screw locks down to the hotshoe of the camera? If so, that was purposely left out, as those have a tendancy to jam, as well as draw the ball of the hotshoe contacts. And for the record, our competition does not dictate our policies, products, or decisions.

Honestly, I don't mean to be sarcastic here, but a few here and many on other forums seem itching for CC to be a $3000 Profoto product and Einstein to be a $4000 product. We do the best we can to meet the price point VS quality and versatility/innovation our customers want, and to satisfy the 80%.

I'm 1 of your 80%. Love your stuff, love your prices. But better than that is your customer service.
