Just got my Cyber Commander and supplies with a couple Einsteins for Christmas and very impressed with the whole system. I already had a couple AB800 and AB400's. I noticed one peculiarity in regards to modeling lamps and wonder if I am missing something or this is just the "old technology meets new technology" snag.

Test system:
2 Einsteins and one AB800. Cyber Commander. CSR+ on AB800.

When I work with groups in the CC Bracket Flash mode, I notice that the AB800 modeling lamp comes on full power if not selected in the group. If it is in the selected group it behaves as expected. The Einsteins always behave as expected whether in group or not. Once I leave the groups the AB800 returns to normal. I also notice that if I put the AB800 in Standby mode on the CC the modeling light goes full on as well, instead of off.

Is this just something to live with or did I miss something in configuring the system? I have three CSR+ receivers and all behave the same with the AB800.

Thanks for any help,
Stuart

TS: Stuart states he has three CST+ receivers, so scratch the "This will probably require a replacement reciver"

I agree with contacting Joe (Tech Help)

This is a symptom that is difficult to diagnose via text based communications. I strongly recommend giving us a call tomorrow (or whenever is best).

Guess I need to call as my AB800 is exhibiting similar behavior.

Probably best. It is most likely a settings issue, real time walk through is pretty simple, though.

Replacement receiver is on it's way. The modeling light kept getting brighter on standby - it only worked properly for about 4 minutes then the modeling light would turn on and slowly get brighter. Turning the CSRB+ to standby again didn't do anything, turning it on set the light to where it should be, turning it to standby set it back to the brightness level it was slowly creeping up at.

Powering everything off and disconnecting overnight would reset the behavior - but again standby would only work for about 4 minutes.

I should probably swap the AB800 out for an E640 while I still have 60days just to keep everything the same.
