It would need to come in for service, but we can replace it. The screen is not user replaceable, as it would require opening the CC. There are small, spring-loaded parts which can easily be lost without noticing if the case is opened by an untrained person.

If its under the 2 year warranty, it would be done for the cost of shipping to us. The actual repair and shipping back to within the US would be covered.

I placed -- very carefully to avoid trapping any air bubbles -- a strip of the newer ultra-clear 2-inch-wide packing tape over the clear CC screen, overlapping it onto the main black plastic case. Did that the day I received my CC. Works like a charm. You could also use the outrageously overpriced clear plastic sheeting that's sold to protect iPod / iPhone screens by trimming it to fit.

I'm not trying to be rude or anything - but - you say you will send it in when you can find time to live without it. What would you do if it broke during a shoot? and it will break - trust me! You really should have 2.
I just had 1 go bad 3 days ago. It's in getting fixed right now. Well I'm kind of praying my backup doesn't quit until my other gets back. If it did I could be looking at a serious income loss. So my way of insuring that doesn't ever happen was to buy a 3rd one. Backup overkill - oh yeah. But I will never have a customer disappointed because of equipment failure.
