Question. After I finished setting up a AB800 and AB1600 for a shoot, I was sitting and waiting while a group was pulling themselves together. During this time I noticed that about once a minute the modelling light on the AB800 would flicker once. Sort of like the flicker you get when you turn them on and the capacitors charge up. The AB1600 was connected to the same extension and did not flicker once, at least that I could tell. The flash functioned fine.

Is this normal behavior? This was my 4th shoot with the setup. Ron

Every so often, this can happen on a particular AC source, even if another light sharing the source is not affected (due to component manufacturing tolerances). Try a different AC source and see if the problem persists. If not, then there is not likely any reson for concern. If the problem does persist, the unit may need to come in for us to tweak.
