I'm very interested in the capabilities of the ABR800, but am worried about vignetting on the lens I most want to use with it. I want to use my Tokina 11-16mm lens mounted on my D7000. I'm concerned that the depth of the inside tube portion of the ABR800 is too deep for this lens, which would result in the flash housing being visible in the photos. Can you tell what the measurement is from front to back on the flash? Also, can the camera body, when mounted, go right up against the back of the flash in order to get the lens as far forward as possible?

Thank you!!

Yeah, you will probably get vignetting, especially at the wide end. The ABR800 is about 6-6.5 inches deep, vs. 3.5 inches of the lens. You can get the body all the way up to the back of the flash, but you will not have room for your hands to grip the camera. You may be able so save an inch or so by removing the diffuser, but you may also be more prone to flare.
