Post subject:  Cyber Commander and lost settings?

Something has happened to all my saved settings! At first, they all disappeared, there was absolutely nothing to open in the memory, not from the SD card, not from internal memory. Everything was gone.

So I switched the batteries out and now the settings have returned but every single set up is exactly the same all across the board. All 50 SD slots (we originally only had maybe 20 saved), the internal memory, and studio channels.

What happened? Is there a way to fix this? We unfortunately have not backed up the settings on the computer. Never going to forget that again!

Thats not a symptom I have ever heard of before. Unfortunately, this means I do not have a definitive solution. My first suspicion is if you are actually opening different set ups. To test this is to set up a different saved setup. If you are able to open it, then open an existing set up, then the open function is working. If not, then there is a different underlying problem. Are you getting the text SDXX in blue for each of the 50 SD locations? Are you sure you are pressing in on the right joystick to open the set up?

Also, do you know what version firmware you are on? Current version is 40. Version 39 would be acceptable.

Lastly, you could try to save the set ups to your computer, reformat the card, then reload them to the card. I would do this after any firmware updates.

Once the card is formatted and firmware updates are completed, you can load the card into the CC, this will create the file structure needed automatically. Alternatively, you can create the file structure in the following manner: PCBUFF>CCMDER>CONFIGS. Open the CONFIGS folder, and drag only the .SAV files which are in the backed up CONFIGS folder.

Not 100% sure this will work (not even 10% sure this will work), but it is the only thing I can think of.
