If I want a match to the original silver PLM, do I need to get the new soft silver or the extreme silver? |

The original PLM was kind of in between. If I recall correctly, it was closer to the soft silver. I don't have a sample at hand, but I can look this evening. |

Correction to Tech Support The original Silver PLM was very close to the current Extreme Silver. The current version has been reshaped to focus better and to project a more even pattern with higher output. See http://www.paulcbuff.com/plm-competitor.php The Soft Silver doesn't require critical focusing, has lower output but covers a much wider, feathered area. For me, the GO TO modifier . . . . much higher output and doesn't spill all over like a softbox or white umbrella and has a nice degree of sparkle. Sorry for any confusion. |
