Post subject:  Modeling Lamp Problem - Please help

Hello. I purchased a brand new Einstein E640 a couple of months ago, and never could get the model lamp to turn on. It has never been on to this day. I've tried with my pocketwizzards, and without. The lamp indicator is on, but the model lamp is not. I tried changing the bulbs. Is there some secret way to turn on the modeling lamp? I'm starting to get a little frustrating!

If you have tried a known good model lamp, and have pressed the "Easy Set" button on the back, the model lamp should come on at a low intensity. If you use the power up button, the flash and model lamp power should go up. (There are ways to independently turn on the model lamp, but this is the most direct way to turn it on for trouble shooting purposes).

If the lamp does not come on, then there is something not right in the circuit, which means the light would need to be sent in. I would suggest calling customer service before doing so to see what options are available.

Thanks for the reply. I did try the extra bulb that was sent with the light and the results were the same. I pressed the "Easy Set" button on the back and the results were the same. It looks like I will be contacting Customer Service to help me get an RMA.
