If I want a match to the original silver PLM, do I need to get the new soft silver or the extreme silver?

The original PLM was kind of in between. If I recall correctly, it was closer to the soft silver. I don't have a sample at hand, but I can look this evening.

Correction to Tech Support

The original Silver PLM was very close to the current Extreme Silver. The current version has been reshaped to focus better and to project a more even pattern with higher output.

See http://www.paulcbuff.com/plm-competitor.php

The Soft Silver doesn't require critical focusing, has lower output but covers a much wider, feathered area. For me, the GO TO modifier . . . . much higher output and doesn't spill all over like a softbox or white umbrella and has a nice degree of sparkle.

Sorry for any confusion.
