Post subject:  Einstein frosted domes

Hi Paul/tech folks,

I have 4 Einsteins (and doubling that number next spring) and PLM's, softboxes, etc.....and one thing I've noticed is that gels are a pain to use with those light modifiers. My question is, would it be possible to make/design frosted domes that could essentially double as "gels" and change the color temp? That would make life about 100 times easier and much easier to carry around/set up. I like the 5600k of my Einsteins, but there are many times where I need a CTO of varying degrees :).

Thanks,
Dana

It has been suggested before, and the bottom line is it is easier said than done. Then to get done at a reasonable cost is even less likely. At a price point we would be willing to offer one, there is no one in the US that would do it, and looking off shore for something would be a challenge to find something that would be of decent quality.
