Hey there.. I though I remembered reading that the phone cable used to connect a PCB light via the phone jack had 4 pins on it, as opposed to the standard 2-wire RJ-11 cables.. I'm trying to determine the actual cable needed, and I think 4 cables / pins would make it an RJ-14 cable? This would be with a CyberCommander to control light settings, not just trigger the strobe.

Can someone confirm what the actual cable used between CSRB+ and strobe is, RJ-11, RJ-14 or something else?

I'm aware replacement cables are for sale, but I have access to create my own (I like a shorter length than 2 ft), so just need to confirm the specifics on the actual cable.

Still haven't locked down the exact cable and if there's any wire cross-over going, but I tested with the little 2 foot phone-to-caller-ID cable I had, and that worked to control the lights via CC, so I'm good.

Thanks!

You can use a 4 or 6 conductor cross over cable. Glad you found one that works.
