Whenever I press the power switch from 1/2 to full power .. the unit will still fire.. however it will only output the 1/2 power flash.. metering the output does not change by pressing the switch... measuring with my second 2400 side by side.. it appears as the full power side in not working.. is this a flash tube issue ???

The button is actually a 1/4 power switch. So when compared to your other light, the light should be 2 stops less than in full power. Regardless, if there is no difference in power, the light will need to come in. The flash tube itself will not determine the power output of the lights, that comes from the capacitors.
